Last week we shared our review of the base game of Horizon Zero Dawn: The Board Game from Steamforged Games.
Since the video game is such a massive, open-world experience, it was clear to see from the outset that there would need to be game expansions to create more hunting encounters for players to go up against even more menacing machines.
That why this week we’re sharing our thoughts on 3 of the game expansions.

]]>Ticket to Ride is one of the most popular modern board games in the world. So it’s no surprise Days of Wonder keeps cranking out more iterations of the game.
Of course, we’re not complaining because we love playing Ticket to Ride in its many forms!
The first Ticket to Ride game was published in 2004 with a map of the United States. The next year Days of Wonder published Ticket to Ride: Europe and many more map versions followed. Then in 2018, they published a small version of the game focused on just one city – New York City. It plays in a fraction of the time and is essentially a bite-sized version of the original game.
Their latest iteration is the game we’re reviewing today — Ticket to Ride: London.

As long as I can remember, I’ve loved observing wild animals. And living in the Western U.S., one of my favorite places to visit is Yellowstone National Park because of all the wildlife.
So when I heard about a new game hitting Kickstarter this week that revolves around African safari animals, Serengeti, my interest was piqued. And if that weren’t enough, it’s also a cooperative board game – where you work together and either win or lose as a team.
Game designer, Jordan Shumway was kind enough to answer a number of questions about Serengeti.

It also reminds us a lot of the movie Zootopia!
Just like in the movie, you're trying to solve a crime by following clues all over colorful locations. The great thing is that you're not alone. Work together with your teammates to make your way around the city to solve the case!
