Peter – that’s great to hear!
We’re looking to play some of the expansions too.

Easy-ish to explain and the resources do tend to start rolling in once you get going. The different expansions and card packs add some variety to the game without too many changes overall. Corsairs adds in a bit more variety with ships and maps, but it’s still largely the same. The Event cards shake things up a little bit so we usually mix those in instead of the default “Exhausted” cards. There are a couple of variations we still have to try, but we’ve done most of them now. I would like a _slightly_ bigger base box to allow storing the expansions and card packs more easily. The big box is a little too big for our tastes. We also still have the original game before the tracking boards so handle a bunch of tokens and the multiplier tokens. That adds to the tactile experience, but they do take up a lot of space. 🙂
