Lord of the Rings the Confrontation – crush that little pip-squeak
Are you sick of that little hobbit still wearing your ring?
Well, now you can crush him in Lord of the Rings: The Confrontation!
Stack all your forces against Frodo and his happy little fellowship and take them out one by one.
Or do you always have to play the good guy and try to do the hero thing?
If that’s the case, then you can try to sneak through Sauron’s forces unawares and throw the ring into Mount Doom?
Either way, you’re in for a head-to-head battle of wits – and it always seems like you’re staging an uphill battle.
Is Lord of the Rings: the Confrontation fun?
Let’s see – do you like the following:
- Head-to-head, strategic battles
- Good quality game components
- Lots of replayability
- Lord of the Rings
If so, then you’ll like Lord of the Rings: the Confrontation.
Can the whole family enjoy Lord of the Rings: the Confrontation?
No. Let’s not worry about that this time.
This board game is for those who like the Lord of the Rings universe. In our family that doesn’t include the little tikes. And I frankly don’t want them to know about a Balrog yet.
If you have teen boys, then we highly recommend getting a copy of Lord of the Rings: the Confrontation.
Check out Trevor’s review and you’ll quickly see why he rates it so highly. And he’s not the only one. This board game is rated highly by all the boys in the family – including dad.
The funny thing is that no matter which side you’re on, you always feel like the other side has the advantage. When you’re the Fellowship, you feel like there’s no way you can get the ring into Mordor because of the characters you’ll come up against.
And when you’re playing Sauron’s forces, you’ll know the special abilities of the Fellowship characters and will have a hard time planning for their tricky moves.
It’s tense the whole time and we love it!
For a number of years the game was out of print. But as of November 2013, Lord of the Rings: The Confrontation has been reprinted!
So now you can easily buy a copy for your own great gaming enjoyment!

* Board Game Reviews by Josh Lord of the Rings the Confrontation review
My boys loved this game(9,11yrs) It was a game that they played independently and taught to a number of kids in the neighbourhood.
That’s great that they picked it up on their own! And we love that they’re sharing it with others now too!
