David – did you also see our recent review of Between Two Castles of Mad King Ludwig? It’s very hard to compare the two side by side because the gameplay is vastly different. In the original, each player is building their own castle and there’s price-setting and auctions, and being able to afford a tile and its cost makes a big difference. Whereas in the “Between” game, it’s very collaborative and there’s no money involved.

Any chance you could offer some insight comparing this to Between Two Castles of Mad King Ludwig?

Chris – Very cool. In addition to challenges, the app lets you play against others (pass-and-play). It works pretty well, but I still prefer the physical construction of castles on a table. (However, I can see playing it on a plane or such where you don’t have much table space.)

I also first played this at SaltCon 2015 and kept itching to play it and get it. It finally landed in my collection this past Christmas. I was lucky enough to find that my wife and oldest son enjoy playing it with me (when I can pull him away from Dead of Winter).

I saw that the app came out and was intrigued by it. Is it a single player only with AI and puzzles/challenges? Or does it have multiplayer as well (pass-and-play or otherwise)?

Thanks again for your fun reviews.
