The Game Canopy Deep Space game bag review
One of our favorite game accessories (if you could call it an accessory) is our Game Canopy game bag.
Just over 3 years ago we took a look at the Game Canopy by Level 3B and fell in love.
Any time we want to take some games with us — whether on vacation, to grandma’s house for dinner, to a game convention, or over to a buddy’s house for game night — we fill our Game Canopy with games and we’re on our way!
While the Game Canopy can fit a bunch of games, not all game boxes are created equal. And unfortunately, this means some of the games we may like to take for a game night away just won’t fit in the Game Canopy.
Well, that’s now a concern of the past — because Level 3B is set to release The Game Canopy Deep Space game bag!
And since a picture is worth a thousand words, we have plenty of pictures for you to get a good feel for the size of games you can fit in this new game bag. We also have a video review below for you to see it in action.
The Game Canopy Deep Space
The first thing we noticed about The Game Canopy Deep Space game bag is that it folds up just as nicely as the original game bag. Since it arrived folded, that was easy to see right off the bat.
The next noticeable aspects we encountered were the feel of the material and the sturdy construction. It looks and feel great!
Everything we love about the original carries over perfectly.
The bag is nicely padded on all sides and there’s also the awesome extended padding past the inside of the zippers. So games are well-protected even from the zippers!
Speaking of which, the zipper pattern on the bag is likewise the same as the original. We love this because it makes loading and unloading the bag a breeze. The front lays down nicely and games are easy to slide in and out.
The handles and velcro grip are also just like the original and the Deep Space version also has two pockets on the outside that are perfect to slide in small card games.
So if almost everything is the same, what’s the big deal?
The big deal is the obvious deal — it’s big!
The whole point of the Deep Space bag is to fit in bigger games. And we’re happy to report that it does so wonderfully!
To put this in perspective, we currently have just over 400 games. And only 1 of those games won’t fit in The Game Canopy Deep Space bag.
It’s the Flying Frog game, Fortune and Glory. And that game box is just super long.
But we’re happy to report that all of our other games that were too long/wide to fit in The Game Canopy easily fit in Deep Space!
This includes the massive Mechs vs. Minions — which fits the width of this new bag perfectly.

These bags are so cool. I just don’t tote my games around enough to justify the cost…no matter how much I’d love to have one. 🙂
